The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the superior variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated sassa to service the area daily. The service position developed for intervention ordeals a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance status sassa solutions,” the agency said.
